The fun of old-time photo booths gets — in owner and photographer Tim Gemelli’s words — “swank and hi-tech” in the Photo Booth Lounge. You can only fit 2 people (so they say) in an old booth. But 25 can fit in Photo Booth Lounge’s portable curtained booth, which Gemelli brings to events like weddings, bar mitzvahs and fundraisers. Guests don hats and boas from the funky prop box, and the camera shoots four pictures that are printed in 15 seconds. A flat-screen TV outside the booth displays the pictures, drawing more people into the fun. “Some sort of magic happens behind the curtains, that’s for sure,” says Gemelli.
