Taking over the business from his parents last year (after they ran it for three decades), Mike Spremulli, Jr., is dedicated to keeping the Norwalk Music Center a one-stop shop for area musicians. The place sells instruments; custom-designs drum kits and amplifier set-ups; repairs guitar necks and busted bass drums; and offers lessons. Spremulli welcomes back old regulars, including the members of local bands Killer Rabbits and Frolix, but anticipates a new generation of musicians. "Guitar Hero is the best thing to happen to the electric guitar in the last ten years," he says. "It's made the instrument look so good and seem so easy, and introduced kids to some very basic, classic songs you can learn."
