For those of you who haven't hopped aboard the veggie wagon, the salad train or the vegan Prius, and for those who are still cool with eating fries, please do yourself a favor and feast on Super Duper Weenie's fried potatoes. It's a given that you'll order a hot dog (you're at Super Duper Weenie for crying out loud), but it's nothing without the French fries. Co-owner and creator Gary Zemola told us it's very important to store the fresh-cut fries in cold water instead of freezing them. In fact, not one Super Duper Weenie French fry has ever seen the inside of a freezer before it's fried. "That way they lose some of the starch, which gives you a nice crispy fry," he says. And in order to ensure they get a good, solid potato for the right flavor, Zemola says, "Lorin Pellegrino goes up to a small farm in Massachusetts to pick them up." Oh, and heads up, the guy at the cash register is going to ask if you want salt and pepper.
