Best Gourmet Grocery Store

Thierry Le Meur and Andy Rolleri from The Pantry
Read on through our list of winners, and you'll soon find that the Pantry is not just a gourmet grocery store (they also won for Best Salad, Best Place to Buy Desserts and Best Place to Buy Prepared Meals-to-Go). But with that said, the Pantry is a very large and impressive gourmet grocery store. "It was scary in the beginning," co-owner Thierry Le Meur says. "We decided to go on a big scale that we'd eventually grow into." Well, they're at that point now. Filled to the brim with everything the big chain stores have (and then some) the Pantry also has a sitting area. Le Meur hears people say there aren't enough tables, but he jokes, "We can only put so many tables in a grocery store." He added that the recession has not stopped people from buying food and suggests, "If you're spending money on food, it might as well be good food."
